Relationships…
How does that word make you feel?
What do you think of when I say that word?
Do you have positive thoughts?
Or thoughts that something isn’t going so well right now?
And do you trust your intuition when it comes to relationships?
Let’s be honest, that’s a tough one. Can you relate?
We are all creating and evolving relationships all the time. Sometimes they work out, and sometimes they don’t. The trick is to practice self-care along the way and do a better job of listening to your intuition to save time, energy, and even money.
- Notice how initial conversations go. The majority of us are on zoom calls especially in the last year. Think back to some of those people you connected with and how did it go?
Is that person talking about themselves the whole time or is it a conversation back and forth with curiosity and authentic interest.
2. How is their online behavior or one on one behavior? An excellent example to look for is do they celebrate your success? Or are they all about themselves. They could be someone who is constantly posting about their fabulous dinners, vacations, and success but never reciprocate.
3. Notice how you feel and make a decision. Once you’ve noticed it, are you OK with it? You may be fine. If not, take some time to think about how you wish to address it. Move on from that person or have a conversation.
It’s important to be aware of how you feel and if you don’t feel good, do something. Staying in that energy if it doesn’t feel good doesn’t serve you. I have been guilty of letting things go on too long. Noticing something and having my human brain override it and come up with reasons, but in the end, I should have been ended sooner.
So if this happens to you too, you are not alone and it’s OK to move on.
